The Forest Society teamed up with Town 4 Trails Services and OBP Trailworks to construct the sustainable trail, which took the place of about 1/3 mile of the existing Main/Blue Trail. 

This is Jim Cavallini's third time presenting artwork at the Forest Society.

“We had a ‘Goldilocks’ summer. Not too wet, not too dry, not too many insect outbreaks, and there's a lot of green leaves remaining on the trees at Labor Day weekend,” Dave Anderson says. “And all those leaves are going to change slowly over the next couple of weeks.”

This land conservation project was born out of a collaboration between The Conservation Fund (TCF) and Affordable Housing Education & Development (AHEAD), working in partnership to secure a new location for workforce housing in the North Country. 

At this summer's Volunteer Appreciation Day, the Forest Society handed out the first annual "Tree-mendous" Volunteer Awards. 

It's a place for meditation on the chill amphibian lifestyle of breeding, laying eggs and laying low next to the water, at times soaking up the summer sun or hiding in the lily pads.

This historic legislation established a dedicated and permanent means for the conservation and protection of America’s irreplaceable natural, historic, cultural, and outdoor sites, including essential watersheds, open spaces, parks, trails and more.

We are hopeful that the passage of the bill into law marks a significant step forward to address the environmental contamination and public health consequences from PFAS.
