Beyond the above information, the Forest Society only collects personal information (e.g., name, email, mailing address and phone number) that you voluntarily submit to us. Our website allows you to fill out and submit a variety of documents through web forms. When you use these forms, we store a record of your entry to analyze and determine usage statistics.

2) Use of Personal Data Collected

The Forest Society will not sell or rent to third parties any individually identifying information, such as names, postal and email addresses, telephone numbers, and other personal information which you voluntarily provide to us, except (a) to provide the services you have requested; (b) to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws or valid legal processes; (c) to protect the Forest Society's intellectual property and other legal rights; or (d) limited exchange of names and postal addresses with other like-minded organizations using a process that does not permit the other organization to review or retain a copy of the membership list. These periodic exchanges allows the Forest Society to expand its membership base by obtaining the names and addresses of other likely donors. (Any user may choose to opt out of these exchanges by contacting us at the address below).  Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for the purposes of contacting you or sending you permission-based emails following your request for information, and to contracted service providers for the purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you.

While Mailchimp has access to your personally identifiable information in order to provide email services, they are required to maintain the privacy of all information in their control and can only use the information on our behalf for the stated purpose and are not authorized to use your information for any other purpose. You may opt out of any Forest Society e-newsletter by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of each newsletter and following the subsequent instructions.
