At this summer's Volunteer Appreciation Day, the Forest Society handed out the first annual "Tree-mendous" Volunteer Awards. 

It's a place for meditation on the chill amphibian lifestyle of breeding, laying eggs and laying low next to the water, at times soaking up the summer sun or hiding in the lily pads.

This historic legislation established a dedicated and permanent means for the conservation and protection of America’s irreplaceable natural, historic, cultural, and outdoor sites, including essential watersheds, open spaces, parks, trails and more.
