CONCORD — State utility regulators have again denied a request from Northern Pass to reconsider an earlier decision that would allow a confidential report to be made public.

CONCORD — Eversource informed the Public Utilities Commission Monday that it will file a revised proposal to purchase natural gas capacity from the Access Northeast proposed pipeline.

On Thursday, May 24,  the New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee (SEC) confirmed its decision to deny a certificate of Site and Authority to Northern Pass.

CONCORD — The impact of Northern Pass on private property owners in the North Country took center stage as hearings on the controversial hydroelectric project entered their second day before the state’s Site Evaluation Committee, with Eversource-NH President William Quinlan on the stand.

Although its future Northern Pass transmission line to New England is not yet complete, Hydro-Québec plans to launch preliminary studies that could ultimately result in additional interconnections with Maine and Vermont.

Northern Pass interveners and opponents, Eversource staff, and lawyers - many lawyers - gathered in a big, rented room with custard-colored walls. And that’s where they will be every day until these hearings end, weeks from now.
