Forest Society to Host Community Hiking Gear Swap: October 26

The Forest Society will hold a community gear swap as part of the 5 Hikes Challenge on Saturday, October 26 from 10 AM to 2 PM indoors at the Conservation Center in Concord.  We want to help make everyone feel welcome in the outdoors with adequate gear for hiking!

Donate gently-used hiking gear for kids or adults (outerwear, backpacks, hiking shoes and boots) in advance of the gear swap on Friday, October 25 during the Forest Society’s business hours (8:30 AM to 5 PM) or bring gear to the swap on Saturday.

Everyone is welcome to take up to three of the donated items. The swap will also include refreshments on the deck, raffle prizes, and a photo op for 5 Hikes Challenge finishers.

REGISTER: Advance registration is encouraged so we can plan ahead for the snacks. RSVP here for the gear swap!

BONUS HIKE: If you want to take part in the free, guided walk at 11 AM within walking distance of the Conservation Center on the floodplain, sign up here.
