Ben Aldrich

Ben rejoined the Forest Society as a field forester in January 2024. Previously in 2017, Ben worked for the Forest Society as a summer forestry intern, conducting boundary line maintenance at the Monadnock Reservation and properties across southwestern NH. 

Prior to his current role, he worked with the NH Division of Forests and Lands at Nash Stream Forest and as a consulting forester, managing land for small landowners in the Champlain Valley.  During that time he also worked as a sugarbush technician on a 4,000 tap operation. He earned a B.S. in Forestry from the University of Maine Orono and an M.S. in forest sciences from the University of Freiburg in Germany. His research focused on the adaptation of forests to the impacts of climate change. 

Ben resides in Antrim and during his free time can be found outdoors hiking, fishing, skiing and paddling his canoe.
