AYOTTE URGES BIPARTISAN ACTION TO RENEW CONSERVATION PROGRAM

Will Abbott | June 26, 2015

US Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) joined colleagues from both political parties in both the House and Senate at a press conference today on the grounds of the United State Capitol calling on Congress to reauthorize and fully fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund.    The legal authority for funding LWCF expires on September 30, 2015.  Over the past 50 years LWCF funds have permanent protected thousands of acres of land in New Hampshire, including town forests, city parks, large privately owned working forests and additions to the White Mountain national Forest.  As Senator Ayotte suggests, this is about the legacy we leave to the next generations of Americans.
