Trees for Troops at the Rocks Estate

Trees for Troops at the Rocks Estate

For the third consecutive year, the Christmas SPIRITFoundation will partner with FedEx and the NationalChristmas Tree Association (NCTA) to implement the2007 Trees for Troops program. This year, Trees forTroops will provide approximately 15,000 ChristmasTrees to military members and their families across theU.S. and overseas.

Nigel Manley, property manager of the ForestSociety’s Rocks Estate and Christmas Tree Farm inBethlehem, is also the Chair of the Christmas SPIRITFoundation. The Rocks Estate acts as the FedEx pick uppoint for the Trees for Troops program in NewHampshire.

The 2007 Trees for Troops program will kick off onTuesday, November 13, when Christmas Trees will beshipped internationally from Columbus, Ohio andIndianapolis, Indiana to Qatar. Trees that will beshipped to families within the U.S. will begin onMonday, December 3, thru Friday, December 14.

The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation received manyquestions from consumers last year on how theypersonally could contribute to the program. As aresult, individuals and families can participate in theTrees for Troops by purchasing a tree that will bedistributed to a deserving military family.

The Forest Society is participating in the Trees forTroops program in both Bethlehem and Concordstarting on November 1. Customers will be able to buya tree at either location up until December 2.
