Tour an Active Timber Harvest at the Forest Society’s Woodman Forest in Boscawen

 Join the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests Saturday, May 15 from 9 am to noon for a guided timber harvest tour.

Explore the Forest Society’s Woodman Forest in Boscawen and meet Jack and Jake Bronnenberg from Bronnenberg Logging and Trucking. Learn about forest management in relation to improving timber quality, wildlife habitat, and recreation, and get the latest news about logging practices, equipment, wood products, and the timber markets where products are shipped and sold. Forest Society staff will share the site-specific forestry and wildlife habitat goals, as well as site considerations and management planning. Merrimack County Forester Tim Fleury will provide information on the NH Tree Farm program and natural resource assistance available to forest landowners.
