“Peeking at Our Moutains” Exhibit
Coming to Conservation Center in Concord

Peterborough artist Barbara Busenbark will exhibit her series “Peeking at Our Mountains” from Tuesday, October 13 through Monday, November 30 at the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests’ Conservation Center in Concord, NH.

These watercolor and oil paintings were inspired by a ride up Mount Washington. The peaks and valleys of the White Mountains provided Busenbark with an endless bounty of color, texture, and inspiration.

The first of the series, called “The Founding Fathers,” includes the peaks of Mounts Jefferson, Adams, and Monroe. The artist captures both the vastness of the landscape as well as the lingering snow and the subtle emergence of spring growth on the rock-strewn land. Images of Mount Washington, Nelson Crag, Mount Monroe, and the Ossipee Range add to the series with the unique stature that each peak brings to the vistas of New Hampshire’s landscape.

The exhibit is open for viewing Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 5 pm in the Conservation Center Conference Room. As the Conference Room is used for meetings, please call (603)224-9945 before visiting to confirm that the room is open.
