“Patterns and Textures” Exhibit Coming to
the Conservation Center in Concord
An exhibit of “Patterns and Textures” featuring the work of Andover, NH photographer Larry Chase will be on display at the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests Conservation Center from Thursday, June 2 through Wednesday, August 31.
Larry’s work as a writer in corporate and university public relations put him in regular contact with professional photographers through his work with advertising, news, and feature publications, as well as displays and exhibits.
Leaving the corporate world in 1996, he and his wife Susan began a series of volunteer assignments with the National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy that gave Larry the opportunity to practice nature and wildlife photography, first with film cameras and more recently with Nikon and Canon digital equipment.
Finding the “nature and wildlife” arena overflowing with superb talent, Larry turned his attention to capturing less conventional images. “Patterns and Textures” is the product of that search.
“There are visual patterns, textures, and rhythms, all around us, often unnoticed,” said Chase. “I use a simple digital camera to call these occurrences to the attention of others.”
Larry and Susan have lived in Andover, New Hampshire since 2006.
The exhibit is open for viewing Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 5 pm in the Conservation Center Conference Room, located at 54 Portsmouth Street in Concord, NH. As the Conference Room is used for meetings, please call (603)224-9945 before visiting to confirm that the room is open.
