Hike Black Mountain with
the Forest Society and the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Coalition
Join the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway Coalition and the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests on a snowshoe hike up Black Mountain from 10 am to 2 pm this Sunday, March 6.
Forest Society educator and naturalist Dave Anderson will lead participants along snowmobile trails, woods roads, and a scenic hiking trail to Baker Ledge, a scenic overlook on the Forest Society’s recently conserved Black Mountain Forest Reservation. Along the way, participants will look for tracks, scat, and signs of winter wildlife. The total distance of the hike is 3.5 miles up mostly steep terrain.
Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, visit http://www.forestsociety.org/thingstodo, email signup@forestsociety.org, or call Tina at 603-224-9945 ext. 313.
