Forest Society Offers Chainsaw Safety Workshop

CONCORD, NH, September 17, 2009 — Jake Bronnenberg of Bronnenberg Logging & Trucking, Inc. will conduct a full-day workshop on Friday, October 23. Participants will receive both classroom and field instruction on how to work safely with a chainsaw in the woods. Topics will include safety considerations, felling, bucking, and routine maintenance. Participants should bring their own saw, tools, and safety equipment (chaps, gloves, helmet, and eye/ear protection). Drinks and snacks will be provided.

The workshop will be held at the Conservation Center in Concord from 9 am – 4 pm The cost to participate is $15 for Forest Society members; $25 for all others. For more information or to register, contact Carrie Deegan at 603-224-9945 x 318.
