6th Annual Profile Awards Ceremony Celebrates Old Man of the Mountain Legacy

The Sixth Annual Profile Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2009 to honor the anniversary of the loss of the Old Man of the Mountain and celebrate the legacy of Franconia Notch that he represents.

An award ceremony will be held at the Tramway building in FranconiaNotchState Park from 2-4 pm. This free event will include the opening of a new exhibit funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and a booksigning with Bruce Heald, the author of a new book of photographic images of the Old Man titled 101 Glimpses of the Old Man of the Mountain.

The event will be cosponsored by the Old Man of the Mountain Legacy Fund, the NH Department of Fish and Game, the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce, the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Lincoln Woodstock Chamber of Commerce.
