Position Summary:
The Digital Fundraising Manager works closely with the Membership Manager and Membership Assistants with Raiser’s Edge, along with the Communications & Digital Outreach Director and Communications Coordinator, who work with e-newsletters and events through Luminate. This position will further integrate traditional mail-based communications with digital outreach and explore targeted communications with constituent groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Works with the Membership & Development Department colleagues to design and implement digital fundraising strategies and campaigns.
• Implement campaigns through managing data/lists, creating forms and materials.
• Oversees campaign progress and measures results and impacts to include current and future campaigns.
• Performs additional tasks/responsibilities as needed.
• Works closely with the Development and Membership teams to coordinate strategies across mail, print and digital platforms.
• Ensure the highest standards of data management, accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Seeks to maintain The Forest Society’s personalized approach to membership and outreach, and care in digital efforts.
• Attends cross training and provides backup for other administrative functions as needed.
Contributions/Outcomes: Manage a growing digital fundraising and marketing program focused on members and supporters through database management, digital campaign development and performance analysis, and the integration of Raiser’s Edge and Luminate for best communication and marketing results with donors and constituents.
Qualifications and Skills required:
• Database/marketing experience including proficiency with Raiser’s Edge NXT, Blackbaud/Convio database products (RENXT, Luminate) is essential. Familiarity with Salesforce also desirable.
• Experience with digital campaign development and performance analysis.
• Curiosity and interest in solving challenges and developing new strategies.
• Comfort creating written communications/content with factual integrity, marketing strategy, attention to detail.
• Interest in the Forest Society’s mission, activities, goals, and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent judgement and discretion with sensitive information.
• Excellent project management approach: planning, implementation, assessment, follow up.
• Ability to meet deadlines and advance initiatives on a timeline that often involves coordination with other staff and partners.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for the Forest Society’s mission.
Working Conditions:
This position will be based at the Conservation Center in Concord, New Hampshire and will have the potential for telework and balancing the time in the Concord office (a minimum 3 days/week in Concord office). The Conservation Center has many shared offices and open areas, and the successful candidate will be prepared to work in shared settings.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for work at a computer and the ability to perform typing/data entry tasks.
The ability to work in a shared office setting if needed.
