Saturday, February 10 from 10 AM to 2 PM
Celebrate the opening of our newly renovated Carriage Barn!
Tour the building, meet Forest Society staff, learn about our plans, and enjoy a guided snowshoe tour of the trails. This is a FREE event and everyone is welcome; however, there is limited space for the snowshoe tours so please register in advance if you want a spot. BYO sled for the sledding hill and join building tours every half hour to learn more about the green energy system and history of the 1884 Carriage Barn.
10 AM: Bring your own snowshoes and join us for a morning hike on the Mile Path at The Rocks. This advanced hike will take us through the woods of The Rocks, led by our Senior Outreach Manager, Nigel Manley, who will share the complex history of the property and former Glessner estate along the way. Sign up here.
12:30 PM: Remarks about the past, present, and future of The Rocks by President Jack Savage.
1 PM: BYO snowshoes and take part in an easy, guided hike in the woods at The Rocks with Senior Outreach Manager Nigel Manley, who will share natural and cultural history of the property along the way. Sign up here.
