5 Hikes Challenge Registration

Our popular do-it-yourself hiking adventure is back for its fifth year this fall with the theme of “We all belong outdoors!” The 5 Hikes Challenge runs from August 31 through October 31 and includes more than 30 unique and scenic walking or hiking destinations on Forest Society conservation land throughout New Hampshire.

Thursday Walks at The Rocks

Learn all about the fascinating history of The Rocks, from the mid-1800s when International Harvester co-founder John Jacob Glessner assembled the estate from several farms, to its most famous resident and the "mother of forensic science" Frances Glessner Lee, to its current role as the Forest Society's North Country headquarters and conservation center. Visit historic buildings and gardens, and see the only "Nutshell Study of Unexplained Death" in New Hampshire.
