A new study, commissioned by the Northern Forest Center and funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and the U.S. Endowment for Forestry & Communities, analyzed the potential for new wood markets development in New Hampshire, Vermont and New York.

The June 23 webinar summarized the comprehensive report and covered Timber Projections & Supply Chain; Regional Attributes, Weaknesses and Opportunities for Wood Market Maintenance and Growth; Forest Products Selection; and Possible Forest Products Re-Development Real Estate Sites.

The Forest Society has a deep interest in supporting the retention and expansion of markets for forest products since meeting that goal will help keep working forests as forests. This webinar is an important resource to help understand the challenges and opportunities to expand these markets.
