Timber harvest landing skidder and pile of logs.

Governor Sununu signed into law House Bill 1005 legislation creating the New Hampshire Commission on Low-grade Timber and Wood Emerging Markets. The Forest Society supported HB 1005. Although we do not have a seat on this commission, we will be engaging with it as the Commission members undertake the work called for in the legislation.

We would encourage readers to thank HB 1005’s prime sponsor Representative Doug Thomas of Londonderry for this effort to ensure the bill’s passage.
