Earlier this year, the University of New Hampshire Survey Center conducted a poll of 1,864 New Hampshire residents to understand their position on climate change and air pollution.

The two most notable findings from the poll are that six in ten New Hampshire residents feel that climate change is happening now and is caused mainly by human activities and that just over half of Granite Staters think it should be a very high or high priority for New Hampshire to reduce air pollution to address climate change.

As policy makers consider and debate proposals to address climate change, these poll results will be helpful to use as a reminder that a majority of our state’s residents are concerned about the impacts this problem is having.
