We are thrilled to welcome an art exhibit featuring the work of Jim Cavallini to the Conservation Center in Concord. The exhibit is open to visitors through October 30 during Forest Society business hours: Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
About the artist:
My Name is Jim Cavallini and I started painting after my wife and I attended a Paint and Sip class in Western Massachusetts in August of 2018. As I was looking for something enjoyable to do once I retire, this fit the bill and I encourage anyone to give it a go as it is so refreshing and there are nowadays so many options and mediums to use.
I use acrylic paint mainly but I had started to use Pastel paint chalk (Example-"The Nubble Lighthouse") as well as water color paint, but not so much up to this point. My experience is mostly self taught with the assistance of many video’s done by the late great Bob Ross. I must give credit to many others who presented many hints and tips via online platforms where you could learn from them.
This will be my 3rd time presenting at the Forest Society and I am so grateful to be able to join them knowing some proceeds of any sales go to saving lands for multi-use purpose for human and the native inhabitants of these many wooded areas.
