The Northern Forest Center, with funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration and the U.S. Endowment for Forestry & Communities, worked with the North East State Foresters Association to create analysis and recommendations for new wood markets development in New Hampshire, Vermont and New York.

Intended to complement similar information sets developed for Maine’s Forest Opportunity Roadmap, the new series of reports cover Timber Projections & Supply Chain; Regional Attributes, Weaknesses and Opportunities for Wood Market Maintenance and Growth; Forest Products Selection & Benchmarking; and Possible Forest Products Re-Development Real Estate Sites.

Charlie Levesque of Innovative Natural Resource Solutions, the primary author of the report, provided an overview of its analyses and conclusions.

Watch the webinar that highlights the challenges and opportunities to strengthen wood markets in the Northeast.
