NH Sculptor Jon Brooks to Speak at the Conservation Center in Concord
As part of the Currier Museum of Art’s Community Collaboration ARTalk, New Hampshire sculptor Jon Brooks will discuss his recent exhibit A Collaboration with Nature on Tuesday, April 12 at 4 pm at the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests’ Conservation Center in Concord, NH.
Brooks’ art is owned by major museums throughout the country and even in Tasmania. Hear this passionate artist speak about how he became a leading figure in the American studio furniture movement and discover how he combines craftsmanship, inventiveness, and poetic whimsy to create furniture and sculpture unlike any other. Brooks will also describe the role that land conservation has played in his life and artistic process, as well as the work Oh Elm, which is owned by the Forest Society.
