North Country Chamber Under Pressure on Northern Pass

COLEBROOK — The North Country Chamber of Commerce has ended its long-standing opposition to the Northern Pass hydroelectric project, amid accusations of financial pressure from project sponsor Eversource and the developer of the Balsams ski resort. 

Two chamber board members resigned in protest and a third has gone public with a detailed account of a five-day period in late March and early April, when the chamber board was called to vote three times, until it finally changed its position on the Northern Pass from “opposed” to “neutral.” Click below the read the full story in the Union Leader
