Forest Society staff recently attended (virtually, of course) a webinar sponsored by Froling Energy on the connection between forests, biomass and climate change. Dr. Robert Malmsheimer, Professor of Forest Policy and Law at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, presented this webinar.

Dr. Malmsheimer focused on the climate change benefits of using forest biomass that is a byproduct of the harvesting of trees for saw timber or to meet other landowner management objectives like improving wildlife habitats.
