On August 5, Governor Sununu nominated Patrick Hackley to be the next New Hampshire State Forester. Forest Society President Jack Savage served on the preliminary review committee which helped Commissioner Sarah Stewart conduct the search to fill this important position. The Forest Society submitted a letter from Jack Savage, President, to members of the New Hampshire Executive Council in support of Patrick’s nomination.
The Executive Council is expected to vote on it during their August 26 meeting. The Forest Society encourages others to contact their Councilor in support of Patrick’s nomination.
