The Forest Society has relied on volunteers to foster its conservation efforts since its founding in 1901. At The Rocks, we are grateful for a dedicated corps of volunteers who help us carry out our mission of land stewardship and conservation education at this important Forest Society property.
Our volunteers range from folks who spend a few hours each year loading Christmas trees onto cars to people who donate many hours leading school programs or acting as docents during our popular Maple Tours and Christmastime wagon rides.
Other volunteer jobs include cutting, splitting and stacking firewood; working in our shop; registering visitors for our regular programs; planting Christmas trees; pruning apple trees; and various grounds work.
