Turtle Talk at the Conservation Center
Turtle Talk: Natural History, Present Pressures and a Hopeful Future

Turtles have roamed these lands for millennia, changing very little in both their physical attributes as well as their habits. Turtles face unprecedented challenges in present times with habitat fragmentation/destruction, automobile strikes, and black market trading threatening their very future. Luckily for us in New Hampshire, we have the skill and knowledge of Chris Bogard and The New Hampshire Turtle Rescue to help... not only treating injured and illegally obtained turtles, but working together with organizations like NHFG and SPNHF to track habitat, habitat stewardship, populations, and more. This powerful partnership strengthens the opportunities that we have in making a difference for our native turtles and their future.
Join us to learn more about these amazing animals, the challenges they are facing and what you can do to help them. Participants will be able to meet live turtle ambassadors, ask questions of our experts, and learn how to get involved and make a difference for our environment and wildlife.
