High Five End-of-Summer Picnic
Join the Deering Conservation Commission and the Deering Association for an end-of-summer picnic on the top of Wilson Hill, on the Forest Society's High Five Reservation (Deering, NH). Bring your own picnic dinner and beverages, spread out a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy the near 360-degree views of surrounding forests and mountains. This site is perfect for picnickers of all ages and abilities- the top of Wilson Hill is a short (1500 feet) walk up a moderately sloped gravel drive, and those with mobility issues (or heavy coolers!) can also drive to the top for this event. A higher clearance vehicle (think subaru or more clearance) is needed, but Deering CC members will shuttle up whoever needs a ride if your car is too low. Sunsets from High Five are incredible, so cross your fingers for a sunny mid September day!
This event is free and open to the public, no registration is necessary. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RAIN DATE IS SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 15th. Please check Deering Association's facebook page for updates: https://www.facebook.com/DeeringAssociation/
