Join the Wantastiquet Monadnock Trail (WMT) Coalition in celebrating the completion of a new long-distance hiking trail from Mount Wantastiquet in West Chesterfield to Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey with a series of section hikes.  Several of these sections travel at least partially through land owned and managed by the Forest Society.  On Saturday April 21, the WMT Coalition will lead a guided hike on Section 1: Mount Wantastiquet to Madame Sherri Forest.  This 4.5 mile hike is moderately strenuous and boasts beautiful views from the slopes of Mt. Wantastiquet and from Mine Ledge.  For more information and registration (required), please contact Alicia at alicia.n.lacrosse@gmail.com.  Wear sturdy hiking shoes, dress in layers, and bring a bag lunch and plenty of water.  This is a one-way hike, but return transportation will be provided to the starting trailhead for all participants.
