Chainsaw Safety & Maintenance Workshop (Concord)

Forest Society Lead Forester Wendy Weisiger and Jake Bronnenberg of Bronnenberg Logging & Trucking will lead this half-day workshop using classroom and field instruction to teach you how to work safely with a chainsaw in the woods. Topics will include safety considerations, felling, bucking and routine maintenance. NOTE: This training is required for Land Stewards to operate chainsaws on SPNHF properties.  Please bring your own saw, fuel, oil, maintenance tools, and safety equipment (chaps, gloves, helmet and eye & ear protection).  You can also attend this workshop without a saw, and learn by observing others use their saws.  Meet at the Forest Society's Conservation Center, 54 Portsmouth Street in Concord.

When:  Friday, May 29th, 12:30-4:30 PM

Cost: $30 for non-members, $20 for SPNHF members, FREE for Land Stewards
