Forest Society to Host Information Session about Northern Pass
The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests will host an informational meeting about the proposed Northern Pass power line project. The meeting will take place on Saturday, June 11 at the Forest Society’s Conservation Center in Concord at 54 Portsmouth Street.
Forest Society Vice President of Policy and Land Management Will Abbott will give a presentation about the project at 9:30 am. The indoor presentation will be followed by a visit to a local farm in East Concord that has a PSNH right-of-way where the proposed high-voltage towers would be erected alongside the existing AC power lines.
The public is encouraged to attend, especially those from Concord and surrounding towns such as Canterbury, Loudon, Chichester, and Pembroke, where property owners will be impacted should the Northern Pass proposal be permitted.
