Explore some of the most spectacular conservation land in southeastern New Hampshire by motor coach with the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests on Saturday, October 25 from 10 am to 5 pm.

 

Travelers will begin at the Forest Society’s Creek Farm Reservation in Portsmouth and continue to recently-conserved properties near Great Bay, Emery Farm in Durham, Champlin Forest in Rochester, and the Salmon Falls Headwaters in Milton Mills. We’ll catch views of the Moose Mountains from Ridge Road in Middleton and learn about unprecedented new conservation opportunities in New Durham near Cooper Cedar Woods. 

 

As we travel from site to site, stopping at each for a short, easy walking tour, Forest Society Education Director Dave Anderson will tell the stories behind these special natural areas and explain the connection between the forested hills of Strafford and Carroll Counties to the Atlantic Ocean. He’ll be joined by Forest Society Land Protection Specialist Mike Speltz and others.

 

We’ll wind down with a casual reception at the Three Chimneys Tavern in Durham with Forest Society President/Forester Jane Difley and other Forest Society staff.
